Johannesburg, Gauteng- The High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division in Johannesburg, sentenced serial rapist Musa Maicana (27) to three life terms plus over 300 years for a spate of rapes committed in and around Tembisa from April 2014 to June 2019.

Upington, Northern Cape – The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in the Northern Cape welcomes the conviction and sentencing of Elvis Bongani Sikepe (41) and Thomas Christopher Lebitsa (21) by the High Court of South Africa, Northern Cape Division, Gariep Local Circuit Court sitting in Upington, for the brutal murder of 14-year-old Cashwin Theo Diteho.

LIFE AND ONE YEAR IMPRISONMENT FOR RAPE AND ASSAULT
The Maphumulo Regional Court has sentenced a 39-year-old man to life imprisonment and a year's imprisonment for the rape and the assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm (assault GBH) of his partner in September 2023 in the Mambhedwini area. The accused and complainant lived together and were in a domestic relationship. On the day of the incident, the accused was drunk, and he got into an argument with the complainant, accusing her of infidelity. He then raped her.

PRESCHOOL TEACHER CONVICTED OF RAPING AND MURDERING A LEARNER AND STEPDAUGHTER
Johannesburg, Gauteng – The High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division in Johannesburg, has convicted preschool teacher Amber Lee Hughes (25) of the premeditated murder and rape of her 4-year-old learner and stepdaughter, Nada-Jane Challita. The verdict was delivered today, 27 August 2025.
