Man Sentenced To 25 Years For Murders Of Three Women
The High Court of South Africa: Western Cape Division sitting at the Worcester Magistrates' Court, sentenced killer Siyamcela Sobambela, to an effective 25 years imprisonment following his conviction for the murder of three women. Sobambela killed Miche Pienaar, Gizella Minnaar and Bernadine Frans in a space of two months. The court sentenced him to 15 years imprisonment for each murder.
Former Students Sentenced For Corruption After A Sting Operation
The Pretoria Special Commercial Crimes Court sentenced former Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) students Emmanuel Ramalata(30), Mpho Lesiba Kekana(35) and Nematshema Thanzielo(30) to 6 years direct imprisonment each for corruption. At the time of the incident in 2016, only Ramalata and Thanzielo were registered students, while Kekana could not register due to outstanding fees.

Mareetsane Murder Suspects Denied Bail
The Itsoseng Regional Court denied bail to four men accused of killing two police officers in Mareetsane. Their matter was adjourned to 01 April 2022, for further investigations. The state will be applying for the Director of Public Prosecutions in the North West, for the case to be transferred to the high court, owing to its serious nature. A 16-year-old minor who is also a suspect, was granted bail of R1000 bail in October 2021 and the state did not oppose it, and he was left under the care of a guardian.
Gatecrasher Sentenced For The Murder Committed At A Birthday Celebration
The Roodepoort Magistrates' Court sentenced Mlindeli Moyo, to 18 years imprisonment for a premeditated murder he committed at a party in Dobsonville, Soweto during September 2020. Mduduzi Vundla hosted friends and family for his birthday celebration when Moyo arrived uninvited. He was angry that he was not invited and started being aggressive towards the guests.

Doctor Busted And Charged For Fraud Against The Road Accident Fund
A medical doctor operating in the district of Mbizana, Zonke Mrenqwa-Mazwi (42), made her first appearance in the Mthatha Specialised Commercial Crimes court yesterday. She was charged with fraud relating to R18 million claims made against the Road Accident Fund (RAF), and she was granted R10 000 bail. The doctor is alleged to have submitted false Statutory Medical Reports (SMR) on behalf of RAF claimants involved in at least nine motor vehicle accidents in the Mbizana, Flagstaff and Port Shepstone areas dating back to the year 2008.
Two Life Terms For Suspects Who Were Apprehended By Community Members
The Pretoria Regional Court sentenced Aubrey Mukoneni (28) and Thabang Muswe (29) from Mamelodi East, to two life sentences for raping a 43-year-old woman also from Malelodi East. They were each convicted of 2 counts of rape and assault with intent to cause the grievous body harm. On 02 August 2018, a woman heard gunshots nearby a pub where her son was working at around 03h00am. She went to investigate and also check at the pub if his son was not injured.

The High Court of South Africa; North West Division, sitting at the Klerksdorp Regional Court found Confidence Sekgoro (39) guilty on one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder following a shooting incident at a car dealership in Klerksdorp in 2019. Sekgoro bought a car at Speedy Car Sales in April 2019 in Klerksdorp, following the purchase and collection of the vehicle, he then took it to Mafikeng.
