Parolee Sentenced to 35 Years
The Bloemfontein Regional Court has sentenced Thabang Michael Jantjies (43) to an effective 35 years in prison after finding him guilty of attacking and robbing a 34-year-old woman at her farm in Verkeerdevlei, near Bloemfontein. Jantjies was convicted on multiple charges, including housebreaking with intent to steal, robbery with aggravating circumstances, possession of a firearm, and possession of ammunition.

High Court Convicts Father of Culpable Homicide in Death of Three-Month-Old Baby
Upington, Northern Cape – The High Court of South Africa, Northern Cape Division, sitting in Upington, has found Henry Manolo (31), a Malawian national, guilty of culpable homicide for the death of his three-month-old baby, Henzo, and assaulting the child’s mother. He was also convicted of contravening Section 49(1) of the Immigration Act 13 of 2002, as he was in the country illegally.
