FAMILY FRIEND SENTENCED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR ORAL RAPE OF A MINOR BOY.
The Ermelo Regional Court has today convicted and sentenced a family friend Wonderboy Liberty Mngcina (41), to life imprisonment for rape of a minor boy (7). In July 2023, the accused went to his friend's place of residence where he was residing with the victim and requested to sleep as he was intoxicated. The victim's father allowed the accused into the house. The accused shared the room with the victim and the victim’s father slept in a separate room.

BOYFRIEND SENTENCED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR MURDER
Polokwane, Limpopo – The Polokwane High Court has sentenced 32-year-old Nhlanhla Gift Mathye from Dennilton to life imprisonment for the brutal murder of his 54-year-old girlfriend. He was also sentenced to an additional 15 years for robbery with aggravating circumstances and 10 years for defeating the ends of justice. The sentences will run concurrently.

The Durban High Court has sentenced five men, namely Bongile Mabele, Siyathemba Mthwana, Nkosayikhethi Njeya, Bongani Mboyiyana, and Sibusiso Mkhonde, to eight life terms and 15 years imprisonment each following their conviction on eight counts of murder, and joint possession of a prohibited firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

INQUEST INTO THE DEATH OF GRIFFITHS MXENGE PROVISIONALLY ADJOURNED
The re-opening of the inquest into the death of Griffith's Mxenge was provisionally adjourned in the Pietermaritzburg High Court today. While the NPA was ready to proceed, the court heard that some witnesses are still in the process of securing legal representation.
