TRIO SENTENCED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR DOUBLE MURDER 

The Mpumalanga Division of the High Court has sentenced Mpilo Clinton Twala (35), Advice Philimon Lubisi (39), and Joshua Mkhonto (42) to life imprisonment for the brutal murder of Isaac Mdaka and Xoli Mathebula in 2020. The trio was convicted on two counts of murder, three counts of kidnapping, and assault, relating to events that occurred in Xhimungwe, District of Bushbuckridge.

TRIO SENTENCED TO LIFE PLUS 71 YEARS’ IMPRISONMENT FOR BRUTAL FARM ATTACK

Evander, Mpumalanga – The Evander Regional Court has sentenced Thubelihle Ndwandwe (29), Siyabonga Ndwandwe (29), and Muzikayifane Ndwandwe (43) to life imprisonment plus an additional 71 years each for a violent farm attack that took place in Leslie, Mpumalanga, on 07 September 2022.

WILLOWMORE WOMAN SENTENCED TO LIFE FOR MURDER OF SECOND BOYFRIEND 

Willowmore, Eastern Cape – The Willowmore Regional Court has sentenced Maria Jordaan (38) to life imprisonment for the murder of her boyfriend, Koos Noble (48), in a disturbing case of gender-based violence (GBV). The incident took place in October 2024 at Witkopskuil Farm in the Sarah Baartman District.

DOUBLE LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR KILLING SCHOOLGIRLS

The Ixopo Regional Court has sentenced Baphumelele Zulu (24) to two terms of life imprisonment for the murder of two schoolgirls in July 2022 in the Ngwagwane area near Creighton. Zulu was sentenced to a further eight years' imprisonment for escaping from lawful custody.

NPA SUCCESSFULLY OPPOSES BAIL IN MURDER CASE OF 12-YEAR-OLD MOTHERWELL GIRL

Gqeberha - The prosecution has successfully opposed the bail application of Sonwabo Nqayi (39) in the Motherwell Magistrates' Court on. He made his first appearance on 30 June 2025, charged with premeditated murder, kidnapping, and defeating or obstructing the course of justice, in connection with the tragic death of his 12-year-old sister-in-law, Lithaliyanda Ntini.
