MAN SENTENCED TO 14 YEARS FOR RAPING EX-GIRLFRIEND
Schweizer-Reneke, North West – The Schweizer-Reneke Regional Court has convicted and sentenced 29-year-old Otsile William Mopalami to 14 years’ imprisonment for raping his ex-girlfriend in May 2022. The sentencing was delivered yesterday, 08 September 2025.

LESOTHO NATIONAL SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS’ IMPRISONMENT FOR TAMPERING WITH ESSENTIAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Bafokeng, North West – The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) welcomes the sentence of 10 years’ direct imprisonment handed down by the Bafokeng Regional Court to Malopi Stephen Shakane (44), a Lesotho national, for tampering with essential infrastructure. He was further sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment for contravening Section 49(1)(a) of the Immigration Act 13 of 2002.

Limpopo, South Africa - The Thohoyandou High Court sitting at Waterval Magistrates has convicted and sentenced a Zimbabwean national, Gift Madau (37), to a life sentence and an additional 43 years of imprisonment for multiple charges of rape and compelling or causing persons 18 years or older to witness sexual offences.
