LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR RAPE OF 91-YEAR-OLD WOMAN
Waterval, Limpopo – The High Court in Thohoyandou, sitting at the Waterval Magistrate’s Court, has sentenced Musa Walter Chabalala (34) of Tshisaulu village to multiple terms of direct imprisonment, including life imprisonment for rape, 15 years for robbery with aggravating circumstances, and 5 years for housebreaking with intent to commit an offence.

25-YEAR PRISON SENTENCE FOR MAN WHO MURDERED GIRLFRIEND
Musina, Limpopo – The Musina Regional Court has convicted and sentenced Humbulani Steven Nethengwe (40), from Tshivaloni village, to 25 years of direct imprisonment for the murder of his girlfriend, Khethani Mudau. The court also declared him unfit to possess a firearm under Section 103 of the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000.

Pretoria – The Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court has sentenced Ralton Christopher Fischer (44), a former Human Resources Manager at New Hope School — a school catering for learners with special educational needs to 12 years’ imprisonment. Of which six years are suspended for five years, on condition that Fischer is not convicted of fraud or theft during the period of suspension.
