MAN SENTENCED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR PREMEDITATED MURDER
Molopo, North West – The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) welcomes the life imprisonment sentence handed down by the Molopo Regional Court to Mpho Ditaba (48) from Dithakong Village near Mahikeng. Ditaba was convicted of the premeditated murder of Motsamai Bosman (44).

25 YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR SINDISO MAGAQA MURDER ACCUSED
Sibusiso Ncengwa (37) was sentenced to an effective 25 years imprisonment in the Pietermaritzburg High Court, today, following his conviction for the murder of former ANC Youth League Secretary General Sindiso Jethro Magaqa in July 2017, in uMzimkhulu as well as other charges.

DUO SENTENCED TO LIFE AND 22 YEARS’ IMPRISONMENT EACH FOR VIOLENT CRIMES
Mbombela, Mpumalanga – The Mpumalanga Division of the High Court has sentenced Themba Calysters Nkosi (48) and Siyabonga Bongani Maseko (30) to life imprisonment plus 22 years each for a string of violent crimes, including the murder of Muzafalo Kamyuka in Elukwatini, Eersterhoek District. The accused were convicted of murder, attempted murder, and robbery with aggravating circumstances.

MEN SENTENCED TO LENGTHY IMPRISONMENT FOR MURDER AND KIDNAPPING
Mahikeng, North West – The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) welcomes the lengthy sentences handed down to four men by the North West High Court. The accused — Simon Legadimani Mathibe (44), Tebogo Lawrence More (47), Karabile Mphokeng (38), and Thabo Maboa (43), were found guilty on multiple charges, including murder and kidnapping.

LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR MAN WHO MURDERED PARTNER IN FRONT OF THEIR CHILD
Nxuba (formerly Cradock) – The Nxuba Regional Court has sentenced John Evan Williams (35) to life imprisonment for the brutal murder of his partner, Patricia Williams (29), a farmworker who was fatally assaulted at Lombard Russ Farm near Cradock on 02 June 2024.

LIFE AND 50 YEARS’ IMPRISONMENT FOR VIOLENT CRIMES
Mbombela, Mpumalanga – The Mpumalanga Division of the High Court has sentenced Nkosinathi Fazo Khumalo (41) to life imprisonment plus 50 years for a series of violent crimes, including the murder of Amos Mathabathela Mgwenya, a former security guard at Mthayiza Primary School in Bhuga Trust, Nsikazi District. Khumalo was convicted on five charges: murder, housebreaking with intent to commit robbery, and three counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances.

LENGTHY SENTENCES FOR FARM ATTACK
East London – The High Court of South Africa, Eastern Cape Division in East London, has sentenced Odwa Dyabana (26), Luthando Ngangelizwe (29), and Siseko Qhayiso (31) for their roles in a violent farm attack that took place on 20 February 2024 at Lorain Farm in Bluewater, near East London.
