COURT SENTENCES CERES TO 25 YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR CHILD RAPE
Worcester, South Africa, The Worcester Regional Court sitting in Ceres has sentenced child rapist, Aphiwe Mpambani, to 25 years direct imprisonment after he grabbed a minor off the street in Nduli, Ceres, dragged her into his shack and raped her. He threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the rape.

5 YEARS DIRECT IMPRISONMENT FOR MAN WHO FORGED PORNOGRAPHIC IMAGES
The Pietermaritzburg Regional Court has sentenced Scebi Nene (36) to five years direct imprisonment after he pleaded guilty (Section 105A Plea and Sentence Agreement) to cyber forgery, cyber uttering and disclosing intimate data images.

NPA SECURES FIVE-YEAR IMPRISONMENT FOR VIOLATION OF PROTECTION ORDER
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) welcomes the conviction and sentencing of Frans De Wee, who was found guilty of contravening a protection order by the Griekwastad Magistrates’ Court on 21 May 2023.

FORMER FINANCIAL MANAGER SENTENCED FOR R47 MILLION FRAUD
The Specialised Commercial Crimes' Court sitting in Palm Ridge has sentenced Petronella Niemand (61) former financial manager at Global Access Holdings (Pty) Limited, to effective 30 years for defrauding the company of over R47 million. The court convicted Niemand of 437 counts of fraud she committed between 2013 and 2018, during her tenure as financial manager at the company.

POLICE DISCOVER NEW EVIDENCE IN RALPH STANFIELD AND OTHERS CASE
The Director of Public Prosecutions in the Western Cape, Adv Nicollette Bell, has provisionally withdrawn the commercial charges against Ralph Stanfield, his wife Nicole Johnson, former Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements Malusi Booi and nine others pending the finalization of an investigation on newfound evidence against them.
