Kimberley, Northern Cape – The Kimberley Regional Court has convicted and sentenced Collin Mahooa (39) to 10 years’ direct imprisonment for Assault with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH), read with Section 1 of the Domestic Violence Act and Section 51(2) Part 3 of Section 2 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act 105 of 1977.

HIGH COURT IN KIMBERLEY CONVICTS BROTHER FOR MURDERING HIS SISTER

Kimberley, Northern Cape – The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in the Northern Cape notes the conviction and sentencing of Herman Hermanus Du Toit, who appeared before the High Court sitting in Kimberley for the murder of his sister, 58-year-old Ellen Lorraine Botha. The deceased and the accused lived together in New Park, Kimberley, at the time of the incident.

LIFE AND 73 YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR MURDER AND ROBBERY

The Ulundi Regional Court has sentenced Bheki Khehla Mdakane (42) to life and 73 years imprisonment for the string of offences he committed in March and April 2023. The offences include two counts of murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery with aggravating circumstances, assault GBH, as well as unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
