RAPIST SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS’ IMPRISONMENT BY POTCHEFSTROOM REGIONAL COURT
Potchefstroom, North West- The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) welcomes the 20-year direct imprisonment handed down by the Potchefstroom Regional Court to Kaizer Abraham Diseko (31) following his conviction on three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. The court consolidated all three counts of rape for sentencing and imposed 20 years’ imprisonment and an additional 4 years for sexual assault. The sentences will run concurrently.

Middelburg, Mpumalanga – The Mpumalanga Division of the High Court sitting in Delmas has sentenced Simon Bhuti Thwala (28) to life imprisonment plus 75 years for the gruesome murders of two pensioners, Khehlani Aaron Nkosi (68) and Hleziphi Rosta Nkwanyane (77), committed on separate occasions. Thwala pleaded guilty to all charges and was convicted on two counts of murder, one count of rape, two counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances, and one count of theft.

A YOUNG MAN WAS SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS’ IMPRISONMENT FOR THE MURDER OF HIS GIRLFRIEND
Middelburg, Mpumalanga – The Mpumalanga Division of the High Court sitting in Delmas has convicted and sentenced Motlalepule Andries Mofokeng (25) to 20 years direct imprisonment for the murder of his girlfriend, Flatha Jane Xaba.
The incident occurred at their home in Mammello Section, Grootvlei, after Mofokeng accused the deceased of stealing old coins he had been collecting to exchange for cash.

MAN SENTENCED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR RAPING HIS NEIGHBOUR'S MINOR DAUGHTER
The National Prosecution Authority (NPA) welcomes a sentence of life imprisonment handed down by the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court to a 33-year-old man from Mamelodi East. This is after he was convicted of rape of his neighbour’s 12-year-old girl. The court ordered that his name be added to the National Register of Sexual Offenders and declared him unfit to possess a firearm and to work with children.
