25 Years Imprisonment For Man Who Killed Family Friends
The Pietermaritzburg High Court sentenced Shane Steven Boucher (38), to an effective 25 years imprisonment, after he pleaded guilty to the murders of Rita Westfahl (76), and her daughter, Carol Lesley Westfahl (58), in May 2022. Boucher also pleaded guilty to theft. Boucher knew the women for 15 years, as they lived near his mother’s house in the Oribi area, outside Pietermaritzburg.

Nine Murder Accused Remain In Custody While Investigations Are Underway
The Taung Magistrates’ Court, postponed the case against nine accused, of murder to 27 July 2022, for further investigations. They have all abandoned their bail applications. Police reports reveal that Oleogeng Donald Bohelo (29), Tumisang Duncan Lobelo (23), Bakang Makolonkwane (42), Mosepele Gideon Mompati (64), Amos Mbolelo Sanoke (27), Grace Molemoeng Segacwe (41), Frans Seabelo Thae (54), Gobonamang Thae (39) and Tekoetsile Francis Thae (58), were arrested on Wednesday, 29 June 2022.

Klerksdorp Car Dealership Shooter Sentenced To Life Imprisonment
The High Court of South Africa; North West Division, sitting at the Klerksdorp Regional Court sentenced Confidence Sekgoro (40), to life imprisonment for premeditated murder and five years on each of the two counts of attempted murder. The court also declared him unfit to possess a firearm. The court has, however,r granted him leave to appeal on premeditated murder. Sekgoro’s conviction is linked to a shooting incident at a car dealership in Klerksdorp in 2019.
Jealous Ex Sentenced To One Life Term For Killing Murder
The Pretoria Regional Court sentenced Khutso Manamela (28), from Atteridgeville to one life term, for the murder of their ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend, Vafentse Nyeufane. This is after he was convicted by Magistrate Nozipho Gcawu, for premeditated murder on 17 March 2022.
