Brothers Sentenced For Murder Of A British National
The High Court of South Africa: The Mpumalanga High Court sitting in Breyten sentenced two Yika brothers from Bergendal farm, near Belfast, to thirty-seven years direct imprisonment each, for the murder of a British National, Susan Deborah Howarth (64). Meshack Nkosinathi Yika (28), and Themba William Yika (38) were charged along with Lucas Makau, who passed on after the trial, and charges against him were subsequently withdrawn.

Bail Denied Against Groblersdal Man
The Groblersdal Magistrates'Court denied bail to Corrie Pretorious (50), for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, on a 16-year-old boy and pointing of a firearm. This follows an alleged incident that took place in Groblersdal Game Shopping Centre Mall, on 15 June 2022. The video of the incident was circulating on social media, where Corrie was shown assaulting, swearing and pointing a firearm at the boy.

Director of PSR Solutions PTY LTD, Suzan Pheladi Raphela (32), and director of SA Business Accountant and Associates Sibusiso Sanele Mhlongo (29) appeared at the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court briefly. They are facing a charge of non-registration of VAT, 4 counts of fraud of more than R10 Millions of Tax invasion and 6 counts of non-submission of tax returns
Mbatha’s Murder Case Set For High Court
The Ga-Rankuwa Regional Court deferred the case against four suspects, charged with the murder of Sam Mbatha, to 26 July 2022, for an indictment to be provided to the defence attorneys and for a high court date to be decided on. All enquiries relating to the investigation have been completed and Adv Nangamso Goloda has completed compiling the indictment and is ready to proceed with pre-trial when the matter goes to the high court.
Pakistani Man Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Murder Of His Girlfriend.
Limpopo: Polokwane High Court sentenced a Pakistani national Ashan Fraz Cheema (33), to life imprisonment for the murder of Mohlale Precious Magabane, two years for theft and five years for defeating the ends of justice. The accused Ashan Fraz Cheema, fired his legal representatives more than seven times, in that regard, he ended up representing himself during the trial. During the trial, Raza Ali, a friend of the accused was called as a state witness to testify.
Court Denies Bail To Rape-Accused School Principal
The National Prosecuting Authority has successfully opposed the bail application, made by the 59-year-old High School principal, Mzimkhulu Abedniko Zibi, who is accused of repeatedly raping a 21-year-old Grade 12 learner. The accused would allegedly call the learner to his office, in Bhonxa High School in the district of Ntabankulu. The principal allegedly raped the learner twice on two different occasions.

Twelfth Suspect In The Morwekweng Murder To Apply For Bail
The Ganyesa Magistrates’ Court postponed the case against Kitso Ben Jood(55), to 30 June 2022, for bail application. Eleven of his co-accused were granted R6000 bail and they will reappear in court on 28 July 2022, as the matter was postponed for further investigations. The twelve suspects are facing charges of kidnapping, arson and murder, of three men in Morokweng.
