MAN IN COURT ON MULTIPLE COUNTS OF RAPE

A 46-year-old man appeared in the Durban Magistrates’ Court today on 15 counts of rape. The alleged offences occurred between the year 2014 and 2024 in the Cato Manor area, as well as Plessislaer and Taylors Halt in Pietermaritzburg.

The case was remanded to 28 September 2026 for bail investigation and an identity parade.

The state is opposed to bail.
