STEPFATHER ACCUSED OF KILLING STEPDAUGHTER ABANDONS BAIL APPLICATION
Stephenus Lengoaea Dlamini (55) from Soshanguve appeared before the Soshanguve Magistrates Court where he abandoned his formal bail application. He is facing a charge of murder of his wife’s 18-year-old daughter, Lefa Vivian Mosibi and defeating the administration of justice.
It is alleged that on 05 April 2026, the accused opened a missing person’s case at the police station, claiming that the deceased had failed to return home after he had sent her to nearby shops while her mother was away from home. On 18 April 2026, police received information from community members who had gathered outside the accused’s residence, alleging that the deceased had been buried in the yard. Upon arrival at the scene, community members began digging in the yard, during which the body of the deceased was discovered. The body was identified by both the accused and his wife, and the accused was subsequently arrested at the scene.
The matter was postponed to 23 June 2026 for further investigations.
