MAPISA-NQAKULA’S CORRUPTION CASE SET FOR TRIAL

The Gauteng Division of the High Court; Pretoria, postponed the corruption case against Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula to 20 July 2026 for trial. She has indicated through her new attorney that she will not pursue filing representations with the office of the NDPP, and that she is ready to proceed with trial. Mapisa-Nqakula is facing 12 counts of corruption and money laundering wherein she is accused of receiving and soliciting R4.5 million, with R2,1 million allegedly received as cash from a service provider, Her R50 000 bail was extended until the next court appearance.
