INQUEST INTO THE DEATH OF GRIFFITHS MXENGE PROVISIONALLY ADJOURNED

The re-opening of the inquest into the death of Griffith's Mxenge was provisionally adjourned in the Pietermaritzburg High Court today. While the NPA was ready to proceed, the court heard that some witnesses are still in the process of securing legal representation.

The proceedings were thus provisionally adjourned to 09 October 2025. The court, at the request of the Prosecution, ordered that, should the process of appointment of legal representatives not be finalised by the above date, the relevant parties must appear in court to explain the reasons for the delay.
