Two Accused Abandoned Bail In The Murder Case Of Collins Chabane Mayor
Two accused, Shumani Nemadodzi(47) and Avhatakali Mulaudzi(42), have appeared in Malamulele Magistrates' Court, for the murder of the Mayor, of Collins Chabane Municipality, Councilor Moses Maluleke (56). They are facing the following charges: robbery with aggravating circumstances, murder, attempted murder, and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. The two accused have abandoned their bail application.
The incident took place in Xikundu Village, on 21 July 2022, at the deceased's homestead. It is alleged that the accused gained access to the premises of the deceased, in the evening and shot him, the incident happened while the deceased was with his 18-year-old son.
The matter is adjourned postponed to 19 September 2022, for further investigations, and the accused will remain in custody.
