SEVEN ACCUSED IN AKA AND TIBZ MURDER CASE APPEAR IN COURT
Today, 11 June 2026, all seven men arrested in connection with the murders of Kiernan Jarryd Forbes (AKA) and Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane, as well as related offences, appeared before the Durban High Court.
Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande and Malusi Dave Ndimande, who were successfully extradited from the Kingdom of Eswatini last year, appeared alongside Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi, Lindani Zenzele Ndimande, Siyanda Eddie Myeza, Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni and Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande.
The accused face several charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of murder, multiple counts of attempted murder, and firearm- and ammunition-related offences.
On 10 February 2023, Forbes and Motsoane were shot and killed outside a restaurant on Florida Road, on the outskirts of the Durban CBD.
Following deliberations on pre-trial issues, the matter was postponed to 13 August 2026 for the finalisation of pre-trial proceedings. Trial dates have been set from 05 October to 06 November 2026. Additional trial dates beyond 06 November 2026 will be discussed between the State and the defence.
All seven accused remain in custody.
