A Medical Doctor Appears In Court For Raping A Teenager
A Kimberley medical practitioner, accused of rape has made a first appearance in the Kimberley District Court. The suspect is accused of raping a 17-year-old patient at his surgery. It is alleged that on 15 August 2022, the 17-year-old victim went to the accused surgery, for medical consultation.
During the medical examination, it is alleged that the accused raped the complainant. The victim left the surgery, and the following morning 16 August 2022, informed her Aunt about the incident and a case was opened with the Police. The accused was arrested and charged with rape by the police.
He is remanded in custody, until his next appearance on 22 August 2022, where he is expected to formally make his intention to apply for bail.
Investigations led by the Police are continuing.
