Liberation Struggle War Veterans Appeared In Court

The 53 liberation struggle war veterans appeared at the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court earlier today, they are currently facing a count of conspiracy to kidnapping and 26 counts of kidnapping. They were all granted bail of R500 each in October 2021.

The veteran’s case was postponed to allow the defence to make representations to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).  The contents of the docket will be disclosed to the defence, after which representations will then be made to the DPP.

The matter is set for 17 May 2022, for the outcomes of the representations.
