The Case Against The Accused Son Awaits DDP's Decision

The Koster Magistrates’ Court, postponed the case against Thabang Moswane (24), to 01 September 2022, to await the decision of the Director of Public Prosecutions(DPP), on transferring the case to the High Court of South Africa; North West Division.  The post-mortem report has been completed and only the photo album is still outstanding, for investigations to be completed.

Moswane has abandoned his bail, and he will remain in police custody until the next court appearance. He is charged with murder after he allegedly stabbed his mother to death. Police reports reveal that Boons police were called out, to a horrific murder scene in Mathopestad, on Monday afternoon, 9 May 2022. Initial information indicated that there was a fight between Kedisaletse Elizbeth Moswane (53), and her son, Thabang Moswane. On arrival at the scene, police found Kedisaletse’s body inside a shack, with numerous stab wounds.

The police were informed that Thabang, was allegedly seen drinking his mother’s blood, after stabbing her. He was immediately arrested and appeared before the Koster Magistrate’s Court.
