TRIAL DATES SET IN AKA AND TIBZ MURDER CASE

The five men arrested in connection with the murder of Kiernan Jarred Forbes (AKA) and Tebello Motsoane (Tibz) returned to the Durban High Court today.

Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi (30), Lindani Zenzele Ndimande (35), Siyanda Eddie Myeza (21), Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni (36) and Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande (29) appeared on several charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of murder, attempted murder and firearm and ammunition-related charges. In February 2023, Forbes and Motsoane were shot and killed outside a restaurant on Florida Road, just outside the Durban CBD.

The case was postponed to 19 June 2026, to allow for the parties to address further pre-trial issues and for the appointment of a trial judge. The trial dates are 20 July to 21 August 2026 and 05 October to 06 November 2026.
