A Man Accused Of Killing His Relatives Appears In Court
Sandile Vaaibooi (34) from Barkly West, appeared at the Delpoortshoop Magistrate Court on two counts of murder. It is alleged that on 18 March 2022, the accused forcefully entered the home of Patrick Vaaibooi and Angelina Kgatlane, and upon entering their home, the accused began attacking them and killed both.
After killing the two victims, the accused visited another relative on the other side of town, who is a member of the South African Police Service where he continued to attack him, severely injuring the victim who later died in hospital. The accused continued to damage property, including the vehicles of the victims. The accused was later arrested by the members of the Police in the town of Barkly West.
He is facing three counts of murder, assault as well as malicious property damage. The case was remanded to 25 April 2022, in the Barkly West District Court and has been remanded in custody.
